Team rider Naki ripping on his Cole Black Diamond 3 from Aviso.

Naki was in town for a week and we got to surf some fiun waves at uppers and lowers and test out a few of the Cole models. Naki was ripping on an Aviso BD3 and I got my first chance to try out the Loose Cannon in Epoxy. It worked perfect for the lined up point breaks so I was stoked, plus the waves were really good and not too crowded. The coolest ranger of them all, Bill Pfiefer was cruising around, and giving us the latest update on how the surf was up and down our little stretch of San Clemente coastline.

Legendary icons and shapers, Reno Abeliera and Chris Mc Elroy

These guys are classic when they get together. They stopped by the Cole surfboards shop to say hi and talk story, Mc Elroy has been in Todos Santos for the last 10+ years and Reno just got back in town after spending the winter on the North Shore. Reno did a great job with some interesting commentary at the Eddie Aikau event, injecting a lot of insight, and amusing underground history, a refreshing change from the usual time filling BLah BLah......we usually hear at contests.
