Rail Channels

The Rail Channel has proven to be a multi-functional design feature. Originally we put them into boards to add strength and to keep them from breaking in half from landing big airs or floater air drops. Our team riders quickly realized that they were also great "handles" for air grabs and duck diving. Another funcion we found was the added rigidity of the rail, due to the "channel effect". These double channels not only create strength, but also create spring-back by reducing some of the spongy flex of the rail. This makes the board feel more drivey and fast. The Rail Channel stops just above the fins in order to allow the tail to flex.
